Class overview
“Why can’t I just use a wand? This is hard!”
Kori flexed her fingers as the magic she was trying to channel into a magical blast fizzled underneath her skin. Her tutor, Mister Corwin, tutted as he watched her stoically. But most importantly, he didn’t hand her her wand. Her long ears twitched and flattened back, mirroring the annoyance on her face.
“Mister Corwin!”
“You are the Crown Princess of Ithelia, Princess Itia. The magical traditions and strengths of your family run in your blood. This power and these spells are your heritage and the source of pride and defense of the kingdom.”
Kori continued to pout. Mister Corwin sighed lightly.
“If you can channel this magic without a focus today, I’ll inform the Queen of how well you’re doing in your studies. I’m sure she’ll reward you for your diligence.”
Kori’s pout vanished in an instant, thoughts of treats and sweets swirling through her mind. With a shake of her head that caused her ears to flop about, she turned her attention back to the target dummy a few paces away.
“Remember, focus not just on your own magic, but the magic in the air and the stone beneath your feet. Open yourself up to the flow of worldy magic and become a conduit…”
She tuned out Mister Corwin’s lecture, taking a breath as she reached out with the part of her that was real but unreal at the same time. She breathed in, a phantom breath mirroring her, filling her with an energy that made her blood feel fizzy. She brought her hand up and breathed out steadily, picturing the magic pulling in from the air and floor beneath her feet, into her core, and up her arm.
“Taro!”
Her skin tingled and a prismatic sheen covered her arm for a moment before it leapt from her outstretched hand in a bolt, hitting the target dummy with a resounding crash that knocked it over and left a scorched divot on the shoulder.
“I did it!” Kori spun around with a wide grin, her dress fluttering around her ankles.
“You did, Princess. Well done. Now, do it again, faster.”

Playing Sorcerer
The sorcerer is a simple spellcasting striker class.
Your magic blast is a close range spell. It's not really more effective than using a wand, but it can be used by other abilities that use spells for elemental damage access.
Arcane Rapidfire is a spell that gives you some extra light attacks in exchange for mana. At circuit costs, it's pretty efficient damage but the ability shares the circuit with Arcane Blast which may be the superior damage option. Arcane Blast is a 1 AP heavy with a big mana cost. It's useful when you don't have the full AP to fire a heavy.
Finally, Circuit Reset lets you spend 1 AP to reduce the mana cost of an ability by 1 in the future. It's not really worth using circuit reset just for the reduced mana cost if you have other options, but if you have a spare AP it may be more worth it than making a light.
