Strategy

The Alchemic Golem is a powerhouse able to take on an entire party on its own.  With its high action economy and its ability to mitigate damage every turn it can create a significant challenge for any party.

You'll want to run the Alchemic Golem in an enclosed space where it can utilize Transmute Low Wall to force players (especially ranged ones) to waste AP on movement.  By using the wall to create a small "pool" you can then flood the pool with Alchemic Flare to prep it for next turn.  Make sure you tell players that are within the pool that they can smell gas to foreshadow the attack.  On the next turn you can use Alchemic Flare to punish any players within the pool, forcing them to abide by your mechanics.

The Alchemic Golem is a beast in close range too.  Move into melee range and deliver all of your AP in light and heavy attacks of your choice and then fire Transmutation Cannon to knock them away.  You can create a more mechanical fight by utilizing enemy positionings and walls to maximize Transmutation Cannon's damage.

Zero Impact Generator should be used anytime damage is taken by the Golem or any of its other body parts.

Alchemic Barrage is a ticking timer, that forces the party to press the attack by whittling down their RP or HP.  Once the Golem is below 50% health it unlocks Alchemic Barrage II, which allows you to focus down a player who is low RP, or force them into taking cover.

Once at half health, Alchemic Golem engages Overdrive which grants it +2 extra AP, further increasing the pressure.

You want to encourage the players to be creative and attack the specific bodyparts to reduce the Golem's action economy.  Make sure you emphasize which body part is doing which attack and that the Zero Impact Generator only protects other bodyparts.  The Golem itself has incredibly high HP, so its worth it for the party to attack those parts.  If they aren't getting the picture, try some forced skill checks to realize what is going on, or even use a NPC companion to attack the bodyparts while showcasing the effectiveness of it.

If the party attacks any body part that doesn't have a special effect, just have the damage translate to the body, but also make sure to let them know it seems to have little effect.  Once one of the bodyparts reaches 0 HP, it is destroyed and its linked actions are no longer available.

Running this monster

Alchemic Golem is a great end of arc boss, providing a high amount of danger.  It can face a party by itself with its high action economy and can be mixed with other creatures to face off against higher level enemies.

The main body of the Golem should be at least 20ft x 20ft.

You'll also want to run this enemy in an enclosed space with a small amount of key line of sight cover.  A space around 120ft x 70ft with walls on all sides is recommended.  If you would like to do a larger space, make sure that you increase the width of Transmute Low Wall to match, but big open fields are not recommended for this enemy.
