Identity & lore

Class overview

John was a paladin who loved guns. Like his fellow paladins, he had been trained in the ways of sword and shield.

One day, he and his friends were forced to gather at a border village where a fiend had reportedly appeared. The reports were true. In front of them stood a towering mass of shadows and tentacles that had already murdered the entire population. But of course, they could not simply retreat or it may attack other villages.

His commander gave the order and dozens of paladins charged forward to subdue the creature. But not John. He looked towards the men and women who were running to their death, then towards the pistols he carried at his side. They were expected to fight in melee, but why would Kari's light discriminate against a weapon?

He sheathed his sword and shield and drew his pistol. He ignored his commander's shouting and aimed the weapon at the monster. Brilliant holy light fired from the barrel and as it struck the monster, his allies' attacks became empowered. Without hesitation, he threw his spare pistol to other paladins nearby. Together, their shots annihilated the creature and he became known as the first gun paladin.

Tactical guidance

Playing Gun Paladin

The gun paladin is a support striker class that lets your allies attack for you.

Judgement Shot is a light attack that allows an ally to spend their extra RP on making a heavy attack. Even them making a light attack can be better if your offensive stats are worse.

Twin Verdict lets you convert your extra RP into extra offensive power. It combo's decently well with snap shot in giving you access to another heavy in a turn.

Divine Barrage lets you and several allies all light up a single target. While it costs a bit of mana, it can do a lot of damage to a squishy target.

Sanctity Aura is a situational aura effect. It may let your allies do extra damage or bypass resistances when you let them make attacks.
