Identity & lore

Lineage overview

Spiderfolk are a unique and industrious subrace of the Chimera, descended from ground spiders that mutated into a more humanoid direction. Their multiple arms enhance their dexterity, making them exceptional at multitasking and performing a wide array of tasks simultaneously. While they do not naturally use webs beyond utility purposes, a few Spiderfolk have trained to imbue their webs with mana, transforming them into incredibly durable tools for combat and defense.

In the heart of Northi City, Spiderfolk often purchase small, seemingly uninhabitable plots of land and build their homes vertically, creating spider houses that are architectural marvels with furniture often bolted sideways into the walls. Many Spiderfolk are renowned as masterful chefs, such as Master Chef Vinia Lalune, who runs Northi's most luxurious restaurant, "Silk And Kettle." Her culinary creations have earned her widespread acclaim, showcasing the Spiderfolk's exceptional multitasking abilities in the kitchen. Players who wish to embody characters skilled in object interaction and vertical gameplay, will find Spiderfolk to be an ideal choice.

Abilities unlocked

Complete rules for every ability granted by this sub-race.

No listed cost

You do not suffer any penalties from moving across webs, either natural or created through magic or items. You may climb up walls without using any tools or making any checks at half your normal movement speed and can remain attached to the wall.

If you take any action other than moving or climbing, you become vulnerable to be knocked off the wall you're climbing until the start of your next turn. When you take damage, you slide down 20ft. If you are hanging on a ceiling or similar surface, you instead fall down from it falling prone and taking fall damage as normal.
