Strategy
The sniper’s strategy in combat is to sit still as far away as possible and do damage to the most vulnerable target. What the most vulnerable target is may change during the course of the battle and a sniper can easily adapt to the situation.
They can use Homing Shot when dealing with high dodge characters. If they are engaged in melee combat, they will use Disengaging Shot if they have mana for it. If they don’t, the common strategy is to switch to a melee weapon.
Running this monster
Snipers are intended to be generic heroic enemies that focus on ranged combat. They can be used for any race or situation and can easily be added to fit what you need. They are the heroic version of the ‘Archer’ generic enemy.
Snipers can be run together with several grunt level enemies or in a group together with around 3 similar heroic enemies like the Defender, Assassin etc.
Snipers can use any type of ranged weapon, though pistols, shotguns and sniper rifles are rarely seen. Snipers often wear no or light armor. Most will also carry a melee weapon as a backup weapon.
