Military Ration

A ready to eat meal.  Grants the effects of food for rest without having to cook or prepare anything. Can be consumed during a rest to gain the effects of food (2 mana).

Typically consists of of dried meats, dried fruits and blocks of compressed grains with honey.  Sometimes includes vials of sauce.  Typically pressed together and then rolled in linen cloth, but higher end ones can come in wooden boxes.

If eaten during an encounter, it's a Setup action that takes 8 AP to complete.
