Artificer Materials

The base material for crafting items with Artificing is Iron Artifice parts.  You can either buy Iron Artifice parts or convert them from Iron by using the Artificer or Transmuter abilities.

Artifice weapons follow special rules. Weapon attachments follow the regular artifice rules however.

Iron:
Equal artifice parts to the base clim cost of the artifice is required to craft Iron Artifices.

Outside of iron, there are a variety of special materials that an Artificer can use while crafting. These are more expensive, but grant additional C mod slots to the artifice.

You need Artifice Parts of the matching type to craft and the amount you need is determined this way:

(Special Material Modifier) x (Base Clim Cost) = Amount of Special Material Artifice Parts Needed
