Playing Animal Summoner
The animal summoner is a summoning class that summons a variety of animals to harrass their enemies. Your animals are chosen randomly with Giant Spider being the best overall option and boar being a close second. Wolf has some mana less control and damage options, but is weaker stat wise.
Summon Animal is the ability the rest of your class functions around. It lets you summon one of the animals mentioned above. How it functions depends on whether you use independent action or not. If you choose not to use Independent Action, you can summon two animals at the same time and you can use them to control space or act as living obstacles without requiring much investment if you don't want to. If you activate independent action, you get a rather cheap extra unit that can just add free damage in combat.
Because summon animal becomes disabled if your animal dies, you'll want to use Emergency Recall to remove it before it can die. It is very unlikely for your animal to die with the high damage reduction it gives, so you shouldn't be using other RP on your summoned animal in most cases.
Bestial Command lets you effectively trade 2 mana for 2 AP worth of actions on your pet. More importantly, it also lets you trade 2 of your own AP for 2 AP of your summoned animal. While it's a questionable trade now, when you get access to buffs to your animal it can be very worthwhile to do so.
Half Restore is a heal and shielding tool for your animal. The mana cost is lower than normal healing abilities and it converts overheal into shielding, so it may be worth casting at the start if you spawn your animal next to you.
